1. Stay Hydrated – If you keep your mouth dry for a long period it can lead to bad breath as it constrains the production of saliva in your mouth. Regular production of saliva removes bacteria and excess food which cause bad breath.

Water picks are designed to clean not only your teeth but the tiny spaces between your teeth and gums as well. Your gums might bleed at first when you start using a water park. The inflammation in your gums will decrease as you use your water pick to keep your teeth healthy and white as well as eliminate bad breath.


Oral hygiene is important every day whether you wear braces or not. When you have braces it becomes more important to take special care of your mouth. Sticky snacks, gums and sugary foods are all foods you should avoid when you have braces. In addition to regular orthodontic check-ups, it is important to see your general dentist for cleaning and other exams. Overall oral health can be improved by practicing good oral hygiene every day, fighting bad breath at its source and keeping the germs at bay. It would be nothing less than a nightmare if you find your new straight smile tainted by decay once the braces are removed. So, paying attention to oral health is always crucial and is worth the extra effort.
