The Baltimore Ravens made a few free agent signings to improve their roster prior to the 2017 NFL Draft in April. Now only 26 days away, the 2017 NFL Draft will be key for Ozzie Newsome and the Baltimore Ravens. As a great draft could help the Ravens move forward to the playoffs in 2017.

A few positions the Baltimore Ravens could consider in Round 1 of the 2017 NFL Draft include wide receiver, cornerback, and edge rusher. Looking at the roster for the Ravens, I think wide receiver is the biggest need but will not be addressed in round 1 as some of the options are limited. A receiver could also have good value on day two of the NFL Draft. Free agency also could be in play after the draft depending on what happens on draft day.

Also, the signing of Brandon Carr allows the Ravens to wait on a cornerback until days two and three of the NFL Draft in a deep secondary class. so pass rusher looks like the most likely position addressed in Round 1. A replacement for Elvis Dumervil and a complement/eventual replacement for Terrell Suggs should be considered as the number one need for the Baltimore Ravens in 2017. The most value at pick 16 of the first round among these three positions is at pass rusher.

Here are a few players for each of the top 3 positions of need for the Baltimore Ravens that they should consider taking in Round 1.
