Two division leaders are set to face off in week six of the NFL season. The NFC South leading Atlanta Falcons head to the North West to take on the NFC West leading Seattle Seahawks. The Rams are no strangers to winning a tough game on the West Coast, as last week they went into Denver and took down the Broncos. The Seahawks had a week off in week five, but prior to that they won a road game against the Jets in week four. Talk about a game where I am tossed.

The Falcons are one of the hottest teams in the the league. First off, they have the most dominant offense in the NFL. They lead the league in points, yards and passing yards per game. They are also on a four game win streak, which has seen two big time road wins. They went to the West Coast and beat both the Raiders and the Broncos thus far. In between those games, they won at home against the Saints and Panthers. So there is no questioning they are legit, especially with those two road wins. But a part of me can’t help but feel they are do for a serious clunker soon. The question is will that come this week, or do they have one more big time road win left in them.

The Seahawks have the advantage of coming off a bye. They always have some serious home field advantage given the crowd that likes to show up in Seattle. But on the flip side, their last two dominating wins have come against crap opponents. The 49ers and the Jets are not the Falcons. As I write this I am convincing myself the Seahawks should not be laying as many points as they are. They are a team I have not believed in all season, so why should I start now?

Sure this could turn into the Falcons crapping the bed, but it’s a chance I am willing to take. Besides the fact that the Falcons are due for a bad game, everything points me to picking them with 6.5 points.
