After going 8-8 and disappointing with inconsistencies throughout the 2016 season, John Harbaugh and Joe Flacco do not have any excuses for 2017. Filling some needs through free agency is needed to rebound in 2017 to compete for the AFC North and get back into the playoffs.

The Baltimore Ravens are known to sign a couple free agents and a few notable and productive signings from 2016 include pro bowl safety Eric Weddle and 1,000-yard wide receiver Mike Wallace. Both these free agents were well worth the money and there could be some guys in free agency that could do the same in 2017.

Some needs that could be addressed in free agency include wide receiver, cornerback, offensive line, inside linebacker, and safety.

With big name free agents like Rick Wagner and Brandon Williams potentially leaving, replacements are needed but I think their replacements are on the team with Alex Lewis and Michael Pierce at nose tackle. While some of these needs can be addressed in the draft, the Baltimore Ravens could cut some cap casualties to make room for some of these big name free agents that could make a big impact in the 2017 season. But realistically due to the cap room, I can see maybe at max one or two moves made in free agency and most likely I think it would be a wide receiver because Ozzie Newsome did hint at looking at a veteran wide receiver in the season review press conference on January of 2017.

*These are my opinions on free agents that could fit what the Ravens want and whether or not they should sign them.
