By Sophie Addison

Now that you’re in your 30s, you’ve probably might notice the sudden signs of aging that is caused my life circumstances that have finally caught up to your skin. This means stress, mood swings, hormonal imbalance and even medications. Now’s the time to take care of your skin if you haven’t been already! As you age, your skincare routine isn’t just about the basic cleanser, toner, and moisturizer anymore.

Now, using the right products for your skin along with additional steps to your skincare routine is a must. Adding eye creams and serums to your daily regimen will boost results. Here’s the best anti-aging skin care routine to start in your 30s.

  1. Cleanse Your Face Twice a Day

Use a cleaner to wash your face morning and night to remove makeup residue, dirt and another buildup that may lead to dull skin. Create a clean canvas for your products and apply each in order of consistency. This means from thin gels to thick creams. This will allow them to penetrate the skin properly.

  1. Exfoliate Your Skin

When you reach your 30s, the metabolism of your cells slowly begins to slow down. The best way to prevent wrinkles is to keep skin feeling young and fresh by using facial scrubs or an exfoliating acid serum to polish dry cells away. Use an exfoliating acid such as lactic, salicylic or glycolic every other night to help get rid of refining large pores, dry pigmented cells, and keep the skin clear, toned and smooth.

Go for a light chemical peel every six months to encourage collagen product in the skin. Be sure to keep this procedure at a minimum of twice a year as this may damage the moisture barrier causing irritation and dryness. Consult your dermatologist to determine the right treatment of exfoliation for your skin.

  1. Add Moisturizer

Never leave the house without moisturizing the skin. Anti-aging creams like Resvibrant will help repair the skin’s matrix, restore elastin, collagen levels and replenish hydration levels of the skin.

  • For Dry Skin

Due to hormones or the change in weather, dry skin requires cream with glycerin to absorb optimum moisture.

  • For Uneven Skin Tones

An uneven skin tone is due to the loss of elastin, collagen, or sun damage. Use cream that contains peptides to firm elasticity in your skin.

  1. Eye Cream

The first area to show signs of aging is the eye region. This usually starts with fine lines and wrinkles after the age of 28. Make eye cream an investment as eye cream contains anti-aging wrinkle-repairing ingredients that correct and improve the appearance of expression lines, dryness, and fatigue.

The eye cream should be applied with your weakest finger and use during the morning and before bedtime. Apply eye cream along the orbital bone around the eyes. Make sure to follow with gentle motions rather than tugging or harsh rubbing. Be sure not to apply the cream too close to the lash line as this may cause irritation and puffiness.

  • For Puffy Eyes

As we get older, the circulation in your body that’s too slow down as eye ligaments become weak, results in fat to push forward. Use creams with aloe vera or caffeine to sooth swelling and boost circulation.

  • For Dark Circles

Heredity is often the root of dark under eye circle, as it is caused by pooled blood vessels. Encourage healthy circulation by using creams with grapeseed extract or caffeine.

  • For Crow’s Feet

As we age, collagen, a skin-firming protein, starts to break down and result in fine lines and wrinkles. Choose cream that contains amino acids to promote collagen production.

  1. Apply Sunscreen

Using a sunscreen that is SPF15 or higher will give your skin the protection is needs against the harsh UV rays of the sun. This will help avoid any premature aging that is caused my harmful sun damage. Use a lightweight sunscreen that contains zinc oxide.

  1. Visit a Skin Professional

Facials are important to any skincare regimen as they keep blackheads and clogged pores at bay while softening fine lines. Your aesthetician will determine

Now’s the time to start protecting your skin against wrinkles! As soon as you start to build up collagen, this will prevent wrinkles later on.
