According to media reports, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed top a deal with Lovie Smith to become their new head coach.

Smith, who coached the Chicago Bears from 2004-2012, agreed to a four-year contract with the Buccaneers.

A 2005 AP NFL Coach of The Year winner, Smith led the Bears to three NFC North titles, one appearance in the Super Bowl and a 81-63 regular season mark and a 3-3 playoff record.  In Tampa, Smith inherits a talented 4-3 defense that features Gerald McCoy, Adrian Clayborn, Lavonte David, Darrelle Revis, Mark Barron, Dashon Goldson and 2013 first-round pick in cornerback Johnathan Banks.

Currently, the Buccaneers hold the seventh pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
