UFC 200 was two months ago and saw Brock Lesnar make his return to the octagon as he went up against Mark Hunt. He would end up winning the match after three rounds. It was later reported through several MMA sites that it was discovered that Brock had failed two drug tests before UFC 200.

We may be closer to finding out Brock Lesnar’s future status in UFC as it was reported on Tuesday that Brock Lesnar was going to be issued a temporary suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC). This is marking the first step that the NAC is taken in the process for the multiple drug tests that Brock Lesnar failed.

Brock Lesnar, 39 years old, ended up testing positive for the banned substance known as hydroxy clomiphene, which is an anti-estrogen agent, which is an out-of-competition drug test that was administered by the United States Anti-Doping Agency on June 28 as well as an in-competition test that was taken at the event. He was tested by the USADA eight times before his July 9th against Mark Hunt.

He is expected to receive a formal hearing with the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) at a later date. He could be facing a two-year suspension from both the USADA and the NAC and he could also be facing fines from the NAC. If he gets thrown both of these punishments from the USADA and the NAC, it would effectively put an end to his MMA career.

At a recent media event, Brock Lesnar told TMZ Sports, “To my fans that watch me in the octagon, I thank them for their support.” He would go on to say, “ This has been a bumpy road. I am going to get through this alright. And there will be a day, maybe, that they will see me back in the octagon.”

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out for Brock Lesnar, and his future in the UFC as he will appear in front of the NAC at a later date.
