The Chicago Cubs defeated the San Fransico Giants by the score of 1-0 in Game 1 of the National League Divisional Series. The lone run came in the eighth inning when Javier Baez hit a home run. I said this when I did my preview of Game 1. This series can go one of two ways. We may see a high scoring affair or a 1-0 pitchers duel type of game. I forsee that being a game by game scenario.

Looking ahead towards Game 2 which is Saturday night on MLB Network, as we will see the Giants hand the ball to Jeff Samardzija who comes into this game coming off a 2016 season where he went 12-11 with a 3.81 ERA. He will be opposed by Kyle Hendricks for the Chicago Cubs who is coming into this game with a 16-8 record in 2016. He also had a 2.13 ERA and 170 strikeouts in 190.0 innings.

Another thing to look at in Game 2 is if the bullpens are used at all. In Game 1, the Cubs only needed one inning out of their bullpen, and the Giants did not even touch their bullpen. So you have two very well-rested bullpens that could make it interesting for both managers as far as how they manage their game. If both pitchers are having struggles coming into the 5th inning, which manager will break first and use their bullpen. Also if the Cubs are lucky enough to win Game 2 and push the Giants to the brink of elimination, could we see a Madison Bumgarner sighting in Game 3 or could he come into as potential bullpen help in Game 2.

You can find below all the information for Game 2 and see if the San Francisco Giants can tie this series up or could they be put on the brink of elimination in Game 3.
