Michael Bourn Chicago White Sox v Cleveland OZ8qak1sdSMx Just when things were finally beginning to right themselves in Cleveland, the Indians could be without lead off man Michael Bourn.

Bourn, 30, who would sign a free agent deal with the Indians in the off-season for four years, $48 million after playing for the Atlanta Braves, suffered an apparent laceration to his right index finger during Cleveland’s 3-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Bourn suffered the injury during a head-first slide into first base in the bottom of the eighth inning, and is currently listed as day-to-day per ESPN.com

Bourn would finish 3-for-4 and is currently batting .333 with two home runs and two RBI’s in eleven games.
