Entertainment News: Fantastic Four Reboot to Recreate the Origin of Doctor Doom

It has been apparent from day one that the Fantastic Four reboot was not going to the same old hero quartet.

Now a new change has emerged regarding the iconic villain of Dr. Doom. The character will be given a different origin than fans are familiar with. But no real spoilers, as to what these changes in his origin will be, have come to light just yet.

He also will not be known by the name of Victor Von Doom, as he has been for the last 53 years of his Marvel Comics existence. His new identity is that of Victor Domashev. Toby Kebell, who plays Domashev in the movie, explains the updated root of the villain’s eventual moniker.

In an interview with Collider.com, Kebell said “The Doom in ours—I’m a programmer. Very anti-social programmer. And on blogging sites I’m ‘Doom’.”

Will the continued changes to the world of the Fantastic Four, as we know it, spell “doom” for the success of the franchise? We shall see when it’s released in theaters Aug. 7th 2015.
