Like quarterbacks, I believe that tight ends are a position you could easily stream and cobble together good performances weekly. This week is no exception, as these are three tight ends you can use to fill some holes in your roster. As always, streaming candidates in the All Stream Team articles are owned in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! Fantasy Football Leagues, with one player being owned in less than 10% (for you deep divers).

Jacob Tamme at New Orleans (49%)
There are two things you are looking for when looking for tight ends to stream: targets and touchdown opportunity. Tamme has both as the Falcons head to New Orleans for Monday Night Football. Tamme has eight targets in each of the first two games this year and has turned that into 126 yards and a score over two games. The Saints at home will prove to be a shootout and also have shown in recent history that they are completely incapable of defending the tight end. Snatching up Tamme is a very good idea for the Willie Snead owner if the league allows flexes, as well, as Snead is suddenly a game-time decision with a toe issue.

Jesse James at Philadelphia (28%)
James hasn’t been exceptionally impressive on a yardage basis in the first two games, but his target volume is there (averaging six targets a game so far). Of particular value is that James has emerged as Ben Roethlisberger’s Heath Miller surrogate. Also, the James rotated out, and Xavier Grimble had two catches and a score, meaning that Roethlisberger is leaning hard on the tight ends. The Eagles have allowed only 3.3 fantasy points per game to tight ends all season, but when you’ve faced two injured quarterbacks in two games, things can get a little discombobulated for the opposition. Tight ends only received seven targets total this year against Philly, so the fact that they’ve yielded the fewest fantasy points to tight ends is a bit misleading. Shutting down Gary Barnidge and Zach Miller aren’t exactly Herculean feats, either.
Deep Dive:
Trey Burton versus Pittsburgh (2%)
With news that Zach Ertz would yet again be out this week, the Eagles should fire up Trey Burton again in the passing game, and you can slot him back into your lineups. The easy call for Ertz’s target vacuum was long timer Brent Celek. Celek, however, is more of a blocking tight end and will remain in that role while Burton scoops up targets as the Zach Ertz replacement. Last week he turned seven targets into 49 yards and a score. Through two games this year, the Steelers are a neutral TE matchup, allowing the seventeenth-most fantasy points per game to the position. This is mainly because a TE is yet to hit pay dirt against them.
