Athleisure Fitness Focus! Fitness Models

Fitness Focus! Q and A With Fitness Model and Yoga Entrepreneur, Svetlana Pavlova

Yoga and fitness.

Two completely different disciplines, yet forever intertwined.

Yoga, a 4,000-year-old Indian form of physical exercise and martial art, emphasizes a unique form of self-discipline and body control and stretching.

Thanks to the more socially conscious movement towards being fit, athleisure and greater awareness towards body image, obesity and being healthy, yoga along with physical fitness has become one of the cultural and social norms of today.

As with all things popular, it is also about the bottom line as the interest in yoga, fitness and athleisure have almost quadrupled over the last decade to the point of major companies such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Reebok and well-known celebrities such as Kate Hudson, Beyonce and Kendall Jenner enter the very lucrative fitness and activewear game.

You also have up-and-coming fitness brands such as Women’s Best who have well-known Instagram fitness models such as Danielle Robertson, Pia Muehlenbeck and Alexis Ren, and one can see the link between yoga, fitness and athleisure.

One such fitness model who is also throwing her name into the fitness and yoga scene is London-based fitness model and entrepreneur, Svetlana Pavlova.

Pavlova, a thirty-something native of Moscow, Russia, is the owner of London-based hot yoga studio Fitness on Fire, has modeled for the likes of lingerie brand Myla Lingerie, appeared on reality television and competed in fitness bikini competitions such Fitness Universe where she finished as runner-up in 2010 in London in the Bikini Division, and will be competing in the upcoming Miss Olympia this September in Las Vegas in the Bikini Division.

Model. Fitness Entrepreneur. Yogi.

Ms. Pavlova is not only beautiful in terms of modeling a bikini, but also has a sharp and keen eye when it comes to business as she holds a bachelors in business and economics and a postgraduate in management from Voronezh State University of Engineering in her native Russia, in addition to knowing how to look and staying fit.
