We have reached that time of year again. The weather is changing, school has been back in session for a few weeks now, and all of the pumpkin themed stuff are hitting the shelves. And you know what that means. It is time for the fall television slate to hit the small screen across the country.

Each night of the week has something to offer, so if you are looking for a new show to follow, make sure to read more below.

FOX will have superheroes and villains. They will have murder mysteries. They will have a female baseball player. Then there will be a new show based on the movie, plus another that has the same name as a classic hit movie. Oh and if none of that caught your interest, they have Andy Samberg… in witness protection.

So without any further ado, here are five FOX shows to check out, and as an added benefit, each of these is on a different night of the week!

Gotham (Monday September 19th, 8:00 EST)

Season three of Gotham sees the return of Jim Gordon, played by Ben McKenzie, who was last seen leaving the GCPD. But we know Jim won’t be leaving Gotham for long, as the end of season two saw the release of the Indian Hill monsters, who are now going to be roaming around the city, including the doppelganger of the future Batman, Bruce Wayne.

Speaking of Bruce Wayne, fans can expect his research into his parents’ deaths will lead to the revelation of the Court of Owls, the mysterious group who are running things in the town. Add in the mischievous actions Penguin, Nygma, Fish Mooney, Barbara and many more and season three of Gotham is set to keep fans on the edge of their seats, all while screaming for the show to officially bring Jerome back from the dead, who’s set to have an impact on the season, even if he does not show up. But here is to hope his return won’t be saved completely for a potential season four.

Scream Queens (Tuesday, September 20th, 9:00 EST)

Scream Queens will be trading in the college campus of season one for a medical school for season two. The show, which is one of the networks more star-studded casts, will see Cathy opening up a medical school, and bringing in the Channel to work for her. Some of the hospital’s doctors will be familiar faces to many, as they will be played by the likes of John Stamos and Taylor Lautner.

The show takes on the form of horror and comedy, and will follow a similar path of season one in being a murder mystery. One thing that we can say for sure, there will be plenty of murder throughout the season. And each murder will likely be just as bizarre as the last.

Lethal Weapon (Wednesday, September 21st, 8:00 EST)

Based on the action films that go by the same name, Lethal Weapon will see its action taken to a much smaller screen, this time, around in a new series. The series will follow two police officers who are partnered together in Los Angeles, and the two could not be any more different from one another.

Martin Riggs, who will be played by Clayne Crawford, is a former Navy SEAL who appears to be known for his off the wall, unpredictable nature. When he becomes a police officer, he is partnered with Roger Murtaugh, who will be played by Damon Wayans. Murtaugh is a simply trying to maintain a peaceful life, and certainly will have some difficulties with his new partner. The show will be a reboot of the film franchise, and will certainly be heavily compared.

Pitch is yet another new show premiering on FOX this fall. It will see Kylie Bunbury become the first female player in Major League Baseball, as a pitcher for the San Diego Padres. It will surely be one of FOX’s more inspirational and feel good type of shows, as it makes the impossible, possible.

With MLB having its hands in the production of the show, fans can probably expect to see some familiar faces show up. Current and former Major Leaguers are sure to make small appearances here and there, as the show desires to feel as authentic as possible. So how will Bunbury handle life of a big leaguer? What challenges will she face being the first female player in the sport? Tune into Pitch if you care to find out.

Then there is Father Marcus Brennan, who is totally consumed by his faith, and sometimes it will get the best of him. These two men are set to meet thanks to the Rance family.

Each member of the Rance family has been experiencing their form of supernatural and disturbing feelings, and they are placing the blame on a demonic presence in their home. The two priests will have to join forces to help defeat the demonic entity in true Exorcist fashion. The Exorcist will bring be bringing the scares Fridays this fall.
