Smell.

They say it is the sense strongest attached to memory.

There are various moments that one remembers in their lives such as the scent of your mom’s homemade apple pie, the whiff of freshly cut grass, the sweat of a locker room and the perfume of your first love.

While we can see, hear, taste and touch, there is something about smell that makes us all more human.

The smell of fresh air, the ocean and mountains all trigger something within us all. But thanks to pheromones our ability to smell can also help us find that special mate for life. All fragrances are designed to attract the opposite sex, due to a carefully crafted set of chemicals that raise our pheromones to attract the other.

As a former “nose” in the fragrance industry from my time at Saks Fifth Avenue Down in Pittsburgh–and as the owner of 30-plus colognes–I know a few things or two about fragrances.

For men’s fragrances, they are broken down into four main categories by the so-called “fragrance wheel”, created in 1983 by by Michael Edwards, a consultant in the perfume industry, who designed his own scheme of fragrance classification : Woodsy, Fresh, Oriental and Floral. Among some of the all time best selling colognes over the years have been big names such as Acqua Di Gio, Drakkar Noir, Eternity and most recently Viktor and Burberry have dominated.

One new name entering the fragrance market, Borgiott founded by modelpreneur, Brittany Ogonofski is set to be a game-changer.

Founded in 2015, Borgiott, which is an amalgam of every other letter of her own name (B r i t t o g o), Borgiott sells an array of body sprays, fashion items and accessories. Making the rounds recently at Fashion Week Down in Orlando and recently named a brand ambassador for BT Lenspro Clothing, the petite Philadelphia-born cutie also has a knack for numbers thanks to studying Football Analytics at Sports Management Worldwide.

A diehard fan of her hometown Eagles, the Tampa-based modelpreneur is living proof that you can take the girl out of Philly, but you can’t take the Philly out of the woman. Channeling her inner Chettara from the 80’s cartoon, Thundercats, check out my Q and A Q with Brittany as we talk Borgiott, football analytics, quad riding and her beloved Eagles winning it all.

What does “Glamour Girl” mean to you? A woman who has a unique attractiveness about her

Define “glamour” in your own words? An quality within something or someone that makes people attracted to you. Someone that is fascinating to be around or to watch.

Tell us all a little about you? I enjoy reading and also enjoy live music. I love going to football games but also enjoy basketball, Hockey and Baseball.  I even go to NASCAR races.  I grew up going camping, fishing and quad riding but also dance and cheerlead.  My favorite music is reggae but I listen to every genre of music from Oldies to Rap.  I’m a single mom, an Entrepreneur but also work a full time job along with Modeling.  I love to travel to new places and do community service when I have free time.

So…ummm…word on the street is that your hometown football team won the Super Bowl? Where were you when it all went down? I was with my family at my moms house.  It was a surreal moment when the Eagles won, my mom and I cried because we literally had been waiting for that moment our whole lives. My mom took me to my first game when I was five so it was really special to be able to share that moment with her.

How lit did you get after the game?  I had work the next day so I opted to skip the partying.

Pat’s, Jimmy or Geno’s? Jim’s on Southstreet!

Fave Eagle? Brian Dawkins

Carson Wentz, Ryan Howard or Joel Embiid? If you had  a chance to meet with and go out with a Philly sports player, who would it be? Fletcher Cox, only if he took me quad riding!

Do you think the Eagles will repeat? I sure hope that they do

How does a Philly girl end up down in Tampa?  One day after I graduated, I visioned myself waking up almost everyday and laying under a palm tree. So I made it happen.  I love the weather in Tampa and I love the laid back vibe it has. I still love Philly and Jersey though, especially in the Fall.

For those who don’t know about it, tell us a bit more about your company, Borgiott? Borgiott is my brand. Its actually my name if you read every other letter it spells Britt Ogo. I have been building for a little over two years now and I just released Hair perfume for all types of hair and also a Car air freshener spray.  I will be releasing Body sprays, Air fresheners and a mosquito repellent fragrance in the near future.

My oils are imported from all over the world and my products are alcohol free.  Most of my body sprays that I will be releasing are named after specific moments in my life that I believe a lot of people share and I think it’s  special to be able to bring those moments back with products like “Citrus Paradise”.

This is a citrus fruit smell that is very sweet,  It reminds me of being on vacation drinking fruity drinks while listening to someone play the steel drums. Future Borgiott is much bigger than scents though, I will eventually design clothes and handbags.

When did you found your company and what are some of its best selling products? I would say Aloha coca and Blue Space for men are the two favorites right now. It was founded in 2015 but did not have a name until 2017. It took me two years to figure out the name! LOL.

It seems analytics and football are becoming more and more popular, as someone who studied football analytics at SMWW (Sports Management Worldwide) what are your thoughts on this? Football Analytics has been becoming more popular in the NFL since 2016.  Teams are using analytics more now then ever to help them find inefficiencies within their own team and to also help them determine the outcome of a game.

Most teams in the NFL now have an analytics department and use their analytics department to guide them in scouting players.  During my course, I developed my own system on how to analyze offensive play patterns and I was fascinated by the efficiency of it.  My system helped put everything into perspective for me and made me realize why analytics is becoming so popular.

Do you see analytics becoming the way all sports leagues evaluate talent? I think that ever since the book “Moneyball” (Baseball Analytics book)hit the market in 2003 Analytics has taken on a bigger roll in all sports leagues.

Any new projects and magazine spreads coming in 2018? I do have a few more projects coming up that I am very excited about.

What kind of model are you (IG, glamour, fashion, etc?) I actually enjoy doing all types of modeling, I have even done a few runway shows.  I don’t want to limit myself to just one type of look however doing projects that have an artistic side to them I excel in. I believe that I am very versatile as I can do fashion one day and print work the next.  I enjoy it all.

Thoughts on the rise in popularity of glamour models on Instagram? Instagram is a wonderful platform to build your business on.  I think that women who are using it as a tool to build their brand or even as a confidence booster are very smart and should keep marketing themselves.

Pumpkin spice, Salted Caramel or Peppermint Mocha? I’m more of a Vanilla Chai Latte kinda girl

What fashion and fitness tips and trends do you have for looking good and staying in shape? I’m very old school when it comes to fitness my routine consists of 1000 crunches a day,  100-200 squats and then light cardio like walking, jogging, dancing or jumping rope.  I think any routine you can get into that is fun and is also helping you lose weight or stay toned is key.  I also think that eating healthy is 80 percent of the battle.

Hot swimsuit trends to watch for in 2018? High waisted belted swimwear and knotted tops.

String bikini, thong, two-piece or bodysuit, which do you prefer? I really like the high cut body suits on my body shape.

What would you say is your best feature? My brain

What makes you feel sexy? Red lipstick and high heels

What exudes sexiness? Confidence

Best/worst pickup line you’ve heard? I had a guy come up to me one day and tuck my tag into  the back of my shirt and say “Now you are perfect”. I would say it’s bad however, I’ve never forgotten it.

What attracts you most to a man? I’m really attracted to men that give back to the community, it shows a lot of character.

What is THE one hot fashion item that you must have/or get this season? Borgiott Hair Scents!

Athleisure? Fashion or fitness fad? Athleisure

What is your workout and fitness secret to staying in shape? I’m vegan. Sometimes I have cheat days but for the most part I stay on a strict diet.

What’s on your workout playlist music wise? I listen to a lot of Cardi B, Beyonce and Nicki Minaj. Occasionally I will throw on some Biggie Smalls and Jason Derulo.

Fave music? 90’s RnB
