The Denver Broncos are hosting the Kansas City Chiefs during week 12 NFL action on Sunday Night Football. All the information to tune into this game is listed below.

When the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs get together, it can be nothing short of spectacular. Last minute finishes can be common. Do I expect that this week? Probably not. Denver is healthy and ready to do some damage after their bye week. Here are my 3 keys to victory.

Do not respect the WRs

The Kansas City Chiefs are 22nd in the league in passing offense. They are only averaging 235 yards per game. The Denver Broncos are ranked 2nd in passing defense. They only give up 194 yards per game. The Broncos are finally healthy in the secondary as well. The return of Pro Bowl CB Aqib Talib will be a much-added boost to a squad that has struggled the past couple of weeks. If I was Denver Broncos Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips, I would force their receivers to show me that they can beat my man coverage. This should be the return of “The No Fly Zone!”

Stop the run

The Denver Broncos run defense has had some issues over the past several weeks. They are currently ranked 29th in the NFL in rush defense. The strength of the Chiefs is their run game. The Denver Broncos get hurt a lot in the run game between the tackles. Kansas City RB Spencer Ware is a fast but bruising back. He likes to get downhill and is strong between the tackles. The return of DL Derek Wolf should help stop this ground game. If the Broncos are able to stop this attack and make the Chiefs a one-dimensional team they should have good success on Sunday night.

Play your game on offense

The Kansas City Chiefs are not the greatest defense in the league. They have many holes that the Denver Broncos should exploit. The Chiefs are ranked 27th in run defense (121 yds/game), 17th in pass defense (253 yds/game), which makes them the 25th ranked defense overall (373 yds/game). Denver’s Head Coach Gary Kubiak should take full advantage of his playbook this week. The Broncos are well rested, having come off their bye week, and should have no excuses on offense. I feel that this could be a strong performance from the Denver Broncos offense.

The Denver Broncos are in a must win situation. They are playing in one of the toughest divisions in football. They are currently tied for second in the AFC West with their opponent Sunday night. They trail the Oakland Raiders by a game. With 5 weeks remaining, it’s anybody’s race. A win Sunday night could go a long way.
