A team that opened the season as a major disappointment will host a team that tends to struggle a bit on the road in week ten of the NFL season. The Carolina Panthers and their 3-5 record will welcome the Kansas City Chiefs to town this week. The Chiefs having been rolling since their bye, winning their fourth straight game a week ago when they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars at home. The Panthers are on a bit of a win streak themselves, as they won their second straight off their own bye, with a win on the road against the Los Angeles Rams in week nine.

There is no denying the Chiefs are playing well right now, despite dealing with injuries to some of their running backs. They typically play much better at home, but over the last four games, they have won two on the road. They return back to the road this week, and what is a big game for their opponents. The team did struggle a bit last week though, as they left the Jags in the game, and won by less than a touchdown. This week Alex Smith is expected to be back under center, which may or not be a good thing. They are a team they is built on defense, and can be a hard team to read.

Meanwhile, the Panthers seem to have broken out of their early season funk after their bye. It was not a pretty win, but they still pulled it out a week ago after beating the Cardinals by ten the week before. Since the bye, the defense has looked rejuvinated, which could be the key, as that unit struggled early in the season. They will need that to continue, as well as Cam Newton stepping up if they wish to continue their streak. They are still a team I do not trust completely however, as their two wins have come against average at best teams.
