With NHL teams looking to make improvements to their rosters, we can assuredly expect a whirlwind of trade talk.

Most non-contenders will be looking to deal away their top veterans for prime young talent. One such team might be the Arizona Coyotes, whom are actively shopping defenseman Keith Yandle.

Yandle is one of the NHL’s more under-appreciated blue liners. The 28-year-old has twice put up 50+point seasons, and has racked up 20 points during the current 2014-15 campaign. However, Yandle will not come cheap, and any team wishing to obtain him will certainly pay a hefty price. It has been reported Arizona is looking for a top-line forward,  prospect and second-round pick. The Toronto Maple Leafs might be a team willing to make a move for Yandle.

Toronto is looking to upgrade it’s defense, which currently has two developing young players in Jake Gardiner and Morgan Reilly. In addition the team has Dion Phaneuf who has seen his offense numbers decline as of late. Toronto does indeed have the pieces to make such a move. On its roster they boast a plethora of forwards including Nazem Kadri, Tyler Bozak and Peter Holland. They also posses a very intriguing prospect by the name of William Nylander, who will perfectly fit in with Arizona’s developing top-six forwards.

It is no guarantee Yandle gets moved by the trade deadline, but Arizona is looking to make moves for the future. With a player of Yandle’s caliber available the market will heat up for his services, so we very well could be seeing the last of Keith Yandle in a Coyotes uniform.
