Former Wolfsburg midfielder, Kevin de Bruyne, has recently just signed a six-year deal with Manchester City, a major addition to the core of the City’s team. The Belgium national team star will come and help the already Barclays Premiere League leaders and hopefully be within the starting line up to help in the UEFA Champions League.

While City would love for him to start immediately and begin creating goal chances left and right, there is the paperwork that is always involved, physicals, paperwork, etc. Besides, Manchester City will most likely adapt the same playing method and time frame their neighbor Manchester United is using for Bastian Schweinsteiger, allowing him to sub in later in the game. This will allow the chance for de Bruyne to be able to build chemistry with the players around him, and be able to create the chances, for himself and his teammates, that he created in Wolfsburg.

Meanwhile, Manchester City has been one busy team over the offseason, with this being the fourth high-profile summer arrival after City signed: Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Fabian Delph (Aston Villa), and Nicolas Otamendi (Valencia). City seemed to be off to a strong start, but now adding more attacking offense from the midfield position is only going to improve the shots on goals and the amount of chances created for Manchester City.

Regardless of when he starts, de Bruyne will have an amazing impact on the team, since the previous year he led in the top five European Leagues in assist, with twenty. Over Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, crazy with all the talent that both of those legends had on their teams, we would assume more. While I am not saying that Kevin de Bruyne is a better player, scorer, athlete, etc. then the aforementioned players above, this statistic should not go unnoticed.

So what are your thoughts? Do you think that Manchester City will continue to be on top of the Barclays Premiere League and have strong team chemistry, scoring multiple goals, and making it look like soccer is one of the easiest sports in the world? Or, the possibility of the team flailing at the first loss and begin looking for more band-aids to fix bullet holes (sorry for the Taylor Swift pun), like their neighbor Manchester United.

Personally, I believe that Manchester City will continue to excel in the Barclays Premiere League, and as well as the UEFA Champions League, winning in the qualifying round and making a deep push in the Champions League, even quite possibly making it to their first ever UEFA Champions League Finals Match.

Now, this is not all going to happen from one player, Kevin de Bruyne, but with enough of the skillful additions that were added from Manchester City’s summer, enough pieces fit this puzzle. For the Manchester City fans, and soccer fans in general, be ready to watch Kevin de Bruyne complete the Manchester City dream puzzle of a championship.
