Living: How to Prepare for a College Football Game

INSCMagazine: Get Social!

If you are soon to be playing in your first ever college football game, you’re definitely bound to be feeling more than a little bit excited and probably a bit nervous, too.

Playing college football is a higher level than anything you’ve done before, and understandably you will want to perform well on your first game so that you can do your team, your coach, and your college proud. Along with the inevitable training, coaching and nutrition, there are plenty of things which you can do in the days running up to your big game to make sure that you’re fully prepared.

Be Relaxed

It’s normal to feel a bit stressed or tense when you’re nervous about playing in your first football game, but during the few days before you’re set to play, you should try and relax as much as possible. Even if relaxing means getting some free video sex chat from arousr.com, try to do things that take your mind off your nerves during the run up to the game. Worrying about the upcoming game will only serve to stress you out even more and could hinder your performance, especially if it affects your eating or sleeping.

Most college football games are built on a series of traditions. Whether it’s kissing the mascot, ringing the bell, or singing a specific song, get brushed up on your college’s and your team’s main traditions so that you know exactly what’s going on on the day. As you’re a player, you might also be able to take part in team-only traditions, such as match day parties.

Know Your Rivals

One of the most important things to do before you play a college football game is get to know your rivals. Understanding as much as possible about the rival team which you will be playing puts you in a better position to be prepared for how the game is likely to go. It’s a good idea to watch game videos played by your rival team to get a good idea of how they play and what to be ready for.

Look After Your Health

Before you play for your team at a college football game, it’s more important than ever to look after your health so that you’re in the best physical condition on the field. This could include eating a strict diet filled with essential nutrients, making sure that you get enough sleep, and working out every day. Your coach will of course be able to provide you with the specifics for when it comes to planning and looking after yourself during the weeks leading up to the game, but for the most part, it’s down to you to ensure that you implement this. When your team takes to the field, you’ll want to be feeling and performing at your absolute best!

Preparing for your first football game can be a nerve-wracking experience. But, with the guidance of your coach and plenty of preparation, you can do your college team proud!
