The offense of the Los Angeles Rams struggled in 2016. Matter of fact, they finished as the 32nd ranked team in the league. They went through three QBs in 2017. Case Keenum was their best. All this led to the firing of then Head Coach Jeff Fisher. New Head Coach Sean McVay has the daunting task of turning this offense around. Can it be done?

Sean McVay was brought in, to change the direction of the franchise but to change the direction of franchise QB Jared Goff. They traded a lot in 2016 to obtain the number one overall pick. With that pick, they selected, what they hope to be, their franchise QB.

Goff had a rough start to his career. That was just indicative of how the season was going for the Los Angeles Rams. If Goff wants to last in Los Angeles he is going to have to show improvement in 2017. If not, it could be a short experiment and the Rams could be looking for a QB again in the 2018 offseason.

The running game of the Los Angeles Rams is where it is at for this offense. Todd Gurley had an outstanding rookie season. After what some would consider a sophomore slump, 885 yards, he looks to regain that rookie focus. The Rams went out and secured their offensive line in order to run the ball. Gurley should have a rebound season in 2017.

The Los Angeles Rams lack in weaponry on the outside. Their best receiver in 2016 jetted for the Cleveland Browns. Yeah, that is right, the CLEVELAND BROWNS! Their second-leading receiver, Brian Quick, is also gone. They signed Robert Woods as a free agent from the Buffalo Bills, they drafted WRs Cooper Kupp and Josh Reynolds, and they also selected TE Gerald Everett. Will youth be served in 2017?

The Los Angeles Rams offense will struggle early in the 2017 season. However, growth and opportunity should present itself late in the year. The growth of the Rams this year will give us a look into the crystal ball of the NFC West for years to come. How will Sean McVay during year one? This and more will be answered for the 2017 Los Angeles Rams.
