Talk about a game that features two teams that you really do not want to watch. In a battle of three win clubs, the Los Angeles Rams will travel across the country to take on the New York Jets. The Rams find themselves in a funk, and are coming off a three point loss to the Carolina Panthers at home. The Jets are coming off a loss of their own, as week nine saw them fall on the road in Miami.

The Rams have been a team of streaks this season. They opened the season losing a game they should not have to the 49ers. But then they bounced back in a real way, rattling off three straight wins behind their powerful defense. But then injuries happened, and the team lost four before their bye, only to come back and lose another one. Now they need to travel East and may not have star running back Todd Gurley, who is hampered by a thigh injury and has not been practicing. If the Rams want to win this game, their passing game is going to need to step up and take advantage of the poor Jets’ secondary.

As for the Jets, things aren’t exactly any better. Their three wins on the season have come against teams who haven’t been playing well when they faced off with the Jets. It is also of note, only one of their victories have come at home at Metlife Stadium. This week, Ryan Fitzpatrick’s status is up in the air with a knee injury. If he cannot go, Bryce Petty will be under center, and there is a good chance he will not be very successful against the Rams defense.

So when all is said and done, this game is banking a lot on injured players. Since I cannot predict if those players will play, I will take the underdog, as I like the Rams as a team better than the Jets, even if Case Keenum has been brutally bad.
