Miesha Tate lost her bantamweight title to Amanda Nunes last weekend at UFC 200. While she lost her belt in under one round, she also suffered a broken nose and got bad news today.

There are several fighters including Miesha Tate who received a medical suspension as a result of injuries from the UFC 200 event, the Nevada Athletic Commission announced Tuesday. Some of the other names of the fighters who got suspended include Mark Hunt, Anderson Silva, and Frankie Edgar who all suffered some sort of injury at the UFC event. Due to the injury they got, they are suspended for 45 days and are not allowed to have any contact for 30 days.

According to the report, Tate “ must have broken nose cleared by doctor or no contest for 185 days, minimum suspension 60 days with no contact for 45 days.” Out of everyone who got suspended, Miesha Tate has the longest suspension because she suffered the worst injury.

As far as a potential Tate- Nunes rematch, that unfortunately will have to wait, possibly up to six months and into early 2017. There are no known UFC events for 2017, except there are rumors of a UFC event happening at Yankee Stadium if this happens it will be the second venue in New York to host a UFC event. The first one will be held later this year at Madison Square Garden.

Nunes is still being allowed to defend her title against other top challengers while Tate recovers. Some possible opponents for Nunes feature two former champions, Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey. No matter what don’t expect to see Tate back in the octagon until September at a minimum.
