The world has become a post apocalyptic wasteland, riddled with pain and chaos. And Max Rockatansky is no stranger to pain, having lost his family early on as civilization began its descent into madness. In the midst of the savage discord, Max meets Furiosa, who is trying to escort five formerly captive women to safety from the clutches of a wasteland warlord known as King Immortan Joe. These five women represent the breeding stock in Joe’s perverse plan to create a society in his maniacal image, so he is hellbent on getting them back. If Furiosa and Joe’s “Five Wives” have any hopes of traversing the cruel desert and reaching safety, they will desperately need Max’s knowledge of the dangerous terrain and landscape to do so.
George Miller returns to direct the fourth installment in his Mad Max saga, based on a script he penned with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Tom Hardy stars in the iconic role of “Mad” Max Rockatansky, and is joined by a supporting cast that includes Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Riley Keough, Zoë Kravitz, Abbey Lee, and Courtney Eaton.
