She landed three made for T.V. movies all before her 15th birthday, which included the 2003 Disney Channel original film, Right On Track. Already armed with an impressive resume, Larson made her move to full-time acting. She landed minor  roles in numerous movies such as 13 Going on 30 and Madison. Her first big-budget film release came with the 2006 feature Hoot, where she starred opposite Percy Jackson star Logan Lerman.

It was her role in the 2009 Showtime series, United States of Tara that put Larson on the Hollywood map, as she received critical  acclaim for her portrayal of Kate Gregson. While the show proved to be a stepping stone for Larson, it was the comedy, 21 Jump Street which gained her mainstream notoriety. Playing alongside Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, Larson nabbed the lead female role for the film. She followed up her stay on Jump Street with parts in The Spectacular Now and Don John.
