Brie Larson is a relatively unknown name amongst many movie fans. Despite having supporting roles in many films, Larson has not yet had that one defining role.

However, she is an actress to keep an eye on because Hollywood is always looking for the next big thing. Larson, 25, was born in Sacramento, California. She got her start at the young age of six, becoming the youngest student to ever attend the American Conservatory Theater in San Fransisco. Larson’s early introduction to acting gave her a leg up on her competition.

She landed three made for T.V. movies all before her 15th birthday, which included the 2003 Disney Channel original film, Right On Track. Already armed with an impressive resume, Larson made her move to full-time acting. She landed minor  roles in numerous movies such as 13 Going on 30 and Madison. Her first big-budget film release came with the 2006 feature Hoot, where she starred opposite Percy Jackson star Logan Lerman.

It was her role in the 2009 Showtime series, United States of Tara that put Larson on the Hollywood map, as she received critical  acclaim for her portrayal of Kate Gregson. While the show proved to be a stepping stone for Larson, it was the comedy, 21 Jump Street which gained her mainstream notoriety. Playing alongside Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, Larson nabbed the lead female role for the film. She followed up her stay on Jump Street with parts in The Spectacular Now and Don John.

Currently, Larson can be seen opposite Mark Wahlberg in the drama The Gambler, and she also has a slew of upcoming projects. In the upcoming year Larson has three films in the pipeline, the biggest of which is the Judd Apatow film Trainwreck.

In addition, the actress will star in Digging for Fire and Basmati Blues.

While she still might be an unknown name amongst movie fans, Brie Larson is gaining traction in Hollywood. So, be on the lookout for this young and beautiful actress, because she is simply too good to be ignored.
