Julio Cesar, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Udonis Haslem and Pau Gasol highlight the InscriberMag’s News and Notes for Saturday, June 28, 2014.

Julio Cesar Saves Brazil In PK’s Against Chile: After Brazilian forward, Hulk turned the ball over leading to an equalizing goal by Chile’s Alexis Sanchez in the 32nd minute, Brazil escaped a very determined Chilean side, 3-2 on penalty kicks. Brazil missed many opportunities to put some distance between them after David Luiz’s first goal in the 18th minute.

After 120 minutes of 1-1 action, the first game in the 2014 FIFA World Cup knockout round Saturday came down to penalties where Toronto F.C.—on loan from Queens Park Rangers F.C.—goalkeeper, Julio Cesar made two big saves and after a Neymar goal put Brazil up 3-2, Gonzalo Jara’s shot would hit the goal post, allowing the Selecao to rejoice.

Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem Opt-Out in Miami: One week after LeBron James opted out of his current deal with the Miami Heat, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem all opted out of their deals in Miami, enabling the Heat to save a reported $62 million, allowing them the flexibility to upgrade and add players in free agency.

A move most likely to attract Carmelo Anthony and/or Kyle Lowry to South Beach, it is believed that James, Wade and Bosh will test free agency ad depending on what Miami does, take less money to come back in 2014-15.

Pau Gasol to Knicks? According to media reports, the New York Knicks are looking to target free agent power forward, Pau Gasol. Gasol, 33, averaged 17.4 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game in 60 games for the Los Angeles Lakers.

With former head coach and new Knicks president, Phil Jackson and ex-teammate, Derek Fisher the new head coach of the Knicks, it seems that New York is trying to bring some of Jackson’s former players from the West Coast east to the Big Apple.
