When: Sunday, September 14, 1:00 PM on CBS
Where: FedEx Field, Landover, Maryland

Where The Story Picks Up: The last time the Washington Redskins (0-1) faced the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1) was four years ago.  With Rex Grossman at the helm, they beat the Jaguars in overtime 20-17.  Grossman threw for 182 yards, running back Ryan Torrain ran for 65 yards, and wide receiver Santana Moss was the top receiver for the day with 85 yards.

They are 4-1 all time against Jacksonville. This will be the Redskins’ first game at home for the 2014 season.

Early Concerns: Both teams are coming off a Week 1 loss, so losing two in a row is inevitable for someone.  Redskins QB Robert Griffin III threw for 267 yards last week against the Texans, but due to self-inflicted turnovers they lost.  The biggest fear for him right to prevent the stadium chanting for Kirk Cousins.

Many had speculated that Kirk should have been the starter after a poor showing in the preseason for Griffin. Needless to say that didn’t happen. It will be interesting to see how head coach Jay Gruden deals with Griffin if his pocket passing skills don’t improve.

My Two Cents: Griffin has never been a pocket passer – that’s Cousins. Griffin has always been a run-and-shoot type of guy. The problem is now he’s being made to play with a style alien to him. We’re seeing him stumble and fight his instincts on live TV, and it’s painful.

Losing the first game of the season can’t be as bad as losing your home opener. Then again, losing two straight is just as bad.
