Oakland Raiders: 3 reasons why they will win the Super Bowl

The Oakland Raiders, at least in my opinion are the best team in the NFL. Others may point to the New England Patriots or the Dallas Cowboys but the Raiders are in a class by themselves. If you want proof, here is how I see the Raiders being the last team standing at the end of the 2016-17 NFL season.

Here are 3 reasons why the Raiders will win the Super Bowl.

Rob Gronkowski Is Out

Against weaker teams like the Los Angeles Rams, it won’t make a difference. The Patriots can get away with Julian Edelman and LeGarrette Blount but, when they have to go against the likes of the Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs or the Denver Broncos, it all changes. Gronk is a huge part of the Patriots attack and he’s Tom Brady’s security blanket. Take that away and the Pats offense almost becomes a bit predictable. If the Raiders can stop Blount that will force Brady to rely on Edelman which makes Khalil Mack even more difficult to block, leaving a clear path for him to get to Brady.

Dallas Cowboys Have Not Faced Adversity

This may seem like a moot point to some but remember the Carolina Panthers last season? The Cowboys resembles their success from last season and they seemed like sure-fire Super Bowl winners until they ran into a Broncos team that had a bit more experience than they did and a much more balanced team. As good as the Cowboys have been this season, they have not been punched in the mouth yet and been forced to fight back. The Raiders have five comeback wins so far this season with Derek Carr leading the way. The Cowboys may have the offensive weapons to make a bold statement but so did the Panthers last season and we saw how well that turned out.

The Raiders Are The Best Well-Rounded Team

Name a better team than the Raiders. Yes, their offense is top-notch with Carr, Latavius Murray, Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper but it will be the defense that will have to step up. The defense is not as good as the Panthers or the Broncos were last season but they have a bend-but-don’t-break philosophy. How can you knock a defense that gets the much-needed stops when it matters most? Or a defense that still sees a team sitting atop the NFL with a 10-2 record? The Patriots are good but with Gronk out, they do become average. The Cowboys are good but what happens when Dak Prescott or Ezekiel Elliott have one of those dreaded bad games? The Chiefs are right behind the Raiders but their offense cannot contend with the Raiders if they were to get in a shootout.

The logical choice for many is to never doubt Brady but I’m not a logical person. I stated since the beginning of the season how I felt about the Raiders and I will not back down from that statement until they are out.
