Once known as Sin City, it seems that everything is coming up aces for Las Vegas these days.

Often considered a desert oasis of excess, shady mob dealings, gambling and questionable activities, Las Vegas is on the proverbial come-up as the hottest sports market that pro sports leagues are ready to go all in on.

Thanks to the NHL recently awarding Las Vegas it’s first-ever professional team in the form of the Golden Knights and the Oakland Raiders filing relocation papers to move into a 1.9 billion dollar stadium down on the Strip, it is now cool to gamble on Las Vegas as a sports town. Couple that with rumors that the NBA and MLB are also exploring the possibility of putting franchises in this desert oasis, and you can see why it is hot to bet big on Vegas.

Known as a city that has produced and become the home of world-class entertainers such as Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Britney Spears, Celine Dion and Elvis Presley, Las Vegas may have another talented triple-threat entertainer in the making in actress, model and dancer in Allie Sparks.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Sparks is a multi-facet talented entertainer with 14-plus years of training in gymnastics’, dance, Ms. Sparks has an extensive background in dance that includes jazz, tap, hip hop, and ballet.

In addition to all her current talents, Sparks decided to expand her already-impressive resume to include fire-eating and spinning, contortionist, burlesque performing and go-go dancing, which have helped Sparks develop a loyal following in dancing to various pop songs on Youtube.

In addition to her remarkable talent in dancing, Sparks has also performed in notable shows such as the Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival, the Latin Grammy’s Awards Party, Suicide Girls Blackheart Burlesque Show, and can currently be seen weekly at the Cabaret Lounge at Planet Hollywood Vegas performing in the Comedy & Dolls Show, per her personal website, AllieSparks.net

But her best talent may be in front of a camera and her acting.

Despite being just 24, the energetic and outgoing blue-eyed vegan-loving beauty, who first got the acting bug at the age of 14, has a couple of films under her still-young belt in the musical biography Hit Em Hard, the Story of Zaina Juliette and the horror thriller, Scathing, the sky is the limit for the very talented and Sparks.

Outside of acting, performing and dancing, Sparks has amassed an impressive portfolio in modeling for notable magazines such as La Mariee Haute Couture Boutique, SNAP Magazine and Gladys Magazine and notable brands such as Adidas and Rave Wonderland.

Sexy. Talented. Mesmerizing. Unforgettable.

That is Allie Sparks in a nutshell. Hollywood’s Next Big Thing.

Below is my Q and A with Allie as we talk about life in Vegas, entertaining, dancing, acting, her recent movie, “Scathing”, her vegan lifestyle, Las Vegas getting the Oakland Raiders and her very fascinating hobby of ghost hunting.

Robert D. Cobb: What brands have you modeled for?

Allie Sparks: “Rave Wonderland, Adidas, Blazer Boats, Strapless Fashion, A Dream Rocks, Solimar Collection, Fireball Whiskey”

Robert D. Cobb: Which one do you enjoy modeling for the most?

Allie Sparks: Rave Wonderland has been my favorite so far. It was a long shoot, but it was more like play time rather than work time. We got to wear fun outfits, work in different locations, and use cool props like silly string!”

Robert D. Cobb: Where has been your favorite place to shoot?

Allie Sparks: New York City in the streets of Brooklyn”

Robert D. Cobb: What is the most exciting aspect of modeling?

Allie Sparks: Traveling, as well as creating bad ass photos that you can hang up and look up to as self-motivation.”

Robert D. Cobb: Within the industry, who is your inspiration?

Allie Sparks: “Lately, I’ve been really fangirling over Paris Hilton. She has become such a classy and beautiful woman. She seems so fun and so self-driven, and she never wears a bad outfit.”

Robert D. Cobb: As a up-and-coming actress, who are your Hollywood idols? fave actor/actress?

Allie Sparks: “Emma Roberts is my favorite actress at the moment, but really I’m not big into favorites. There are so many artists out there that have something unique they bring to the table, I’m the type of person that likes a little bit of everything.”

Robert D. Cobb: What makes you feel that you are ready to “make the jump” to Hollywood and the A-list?

Allie Sparks: “I have had Hollywood dreams since I literally could talk. I feel like it’s always been in my blood to become a star, and I have always been so passionate and self-driven.

My motivation for reaching fame is being able to have that power of inspiring millions, spreading loving and positive energy to this world, and entertaining in a way that will reduce the stress we live with everyday.

I want to show the world that life is fun, and dreams are everything.”

Robert D. Cobb: Fave movie?

Allie Sparks: “Again, I don’t have favorites, but some movies I can watch over and over are Mean Girls, 10 Things I Hate About You, and She’s The Man.

A movie I most recently watched and really love is Nerve…that movie had me on the edge of my seat and left me questioning!”

Robert D. Cobb: For those who don’t know tell us about your recently released horror/thriller movie, “Scathing” and your role in it.

Allie Sparks:  “Scathing is a psychological thriller that seems too predictable, but instead will leave you in shock. I play the lead role of Amanda Hutchinson, a 19 year old who sneaks out with her boyfriend one night who tricks her into thinking they’re going to a party, but instead tries to pull the romantic card by taking her to a quiet spot in the middle of nowhere.

They fall asleep overnight and when they wake up, the car won’t start. Immediately things start to turn as a psycho killer discovers their presence and torments them with his sick mind. I won’t say much more because there are twists to the story, but I highly recommend checking out the trailer which can be found on Youtube!”

Robert D. Cobb: As a recently-converted vegan, what are your thoughts on today’s growing vegan food scene?

Allie Sparks: “I actually have been vegan for four years now, and I couldn’t be more thankful for making that decision. My mind is no longer foggy, I have the energy of a 6 year old, and I haven’t gotten sick once…minus hangovers which are curable with the right kind of smoothie!”

Robert D. Cobb: What is your secret to staying in shape?

Allie Sparks: “Vegan diet, drinking 3 liters of water a day, kickboxing twice a week, dance classes, and daily yoga”

Robert D. Cobb: Outside of modeling, what are your hobbies?

Allie Sparks: “Singing, dancing, fire eating, contortion, crafting, painting, journaling, reading, hula hooping, roller skating, cooking and ghost hunting!”

Sports question: Who are your favorite teams and clubs?

Allie Sparks: Yikes, I am not a sports fan :/ but if I had to choose, I’d go for my high school and college teams, the Land O Lakes Gators and the USF (University of South Florida) Bulls!”

Robert D. Cobb: As a Vegas native, what are your thoughts on the pending arrival of NFL football and the Oakland Raiders?

Allie Sparks: “Ugh, more traffic!”

Photographer: Chalo Garcia

Robert D. Cobb: What are your favorite cities to travel to?

Allie Sparks: “Los Angeles, Salem, New York City, Denver, and Miami”

Robert D. Cobb: What advice would you give to women aspiring to get into modeling?

Allie Sparks: “Fight for what you want, and don’t let anyone bring you down. Spend the money to get your first shoot and begin your portfolio, and then start putting yourself out there for the world to see, and always do your research before working or signing with anyone!

Also, your looks are important! Eat healthy, exercise, take care of your hair, skin, and nails, and be confident!”
