No Nelson? No problem. Aaron Rodgers and Jared Cook led the finishing drive of the Green Bay Packers in the final seconds of the game to put Mason Crosby in a position to kick the game-winning field goal.

In the postgame interview, Jared Cook stated in regards to the 36-yard catch, “I saw him rolling to the right it was underneath coverage in front of me,” Cook said. “If I got over the top of them, Aaron would put the ball in the right place. Put it right on the sideline with enough room to get my feet down. It was a heck of a throw by him.”

With their 8th straight win, what better way to have it than to get revenge on the Cowboys in Dallas while knocking them out of the playoffs in their 34-31 victory. In addition, this was the first postseason game in the history of the NFL to feature three 50-yard FGs in the final 2 minutes of the 4th quarter.

Aaron Rodgers threw 28 for 43 on passing for 356 yards with two touchdowns and one interception – spreading out his passing yards to 6 different receivers. Prescott, on the other hand, had 24 for 38 on passing for 302 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. Elliot of course, broke 100 yards this game, except he didn’t come up with any touchdowns. The two rookies’ strength wasn’t enough as the Cowboys continue their 21-year drought in trips to the NFC Championship Game.

Dez Bryant ended up having a huge game coming up with two touchdowns and 132 yards – one of those touchdowns tying the game at 28-28 which really boosted the Cowboys from their large deficit. After the 28-28 tie, we let the kickers take it from there point-wise, having a field goal shootout to end the game. As stated in my previous article, I predicted this game to be a shootout, and indeed it was.

This is what the NFL is all about, folks. Great football. Great teams. Playoffs on the line. But can the Green Bay Packers work their magic and do it all again in Atlanta next weekend? We will have to wait and see.
