Finally, a compelling Sunday Night Football match-up! In a game that will surely have fans waiting all Sunday for, Carson Wentz will lead his Philadelphia Eagles team in Big D to take on fellow rookie Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles are coming off an impressive win at home against the Minnesota Vikings and Sam Bradford. The Cowboys are coming off a bye, but prior to that were rolling with a five game win streak.
As for the Eagles, they hold a 4-2 record. Both losses have come on the road, against the Detroit Lions and Washington Redskins. Carson Wentz started the season off on fire, and then cooled down a bit. Last week with the Vikings, it was a turnover-fest, with both teams defensive units dominating the play early. The Eagles eventually took control and won the game 21-10. But this week they face another tough challenge, and there is surely the chance of a letdown game following the take-down of the then undefeated Vikings. Can Wentz put enough together this week to help his team take a leap over the Cowboys? We will have to wait for Sunday night to find out.
The Cowboys are on a roll. Well, they were, before their bye. It will be interesting to see if the bye helped them recharge, or if it will hurt the momentum. Offensively, they are one of the best teams in the NFL right now. Rookie Ezekiel Elliott has been a total home run pick for Dallas, as he is primed for the offensive rookie of the year. Their sole defeat came all the way back in week one, and it was only by a single point. They show no signs of slowing down, and they have won by two touchdowns for three of the last four weeks. This is going to be a fun game, and one worth watching before. Simply because it could honestly go either way, and it is a game like that that will keep NFL fans on the edge of their seats.
