Before the season started, I thought the Philadelphia Eagles were crazy to start rookie Carson Wentz at quarterback. After two weeks, I can say I was wrong. Now Wentz has shown some signs of being a rookie, but he has looked tremendous and has led the Eagles to a 2-0 start. This week the club is back at home against the powerhouse Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers may have the best all-around team in the NFL. In week one, they dismantled the Washington Redskins 38-16 in the Nation’s capital. Then in week two, they took down divisional rival Cincinnati Bengals by a score of 24-16. Big Ben and the offense has looked tremendous, with DeAngelo Williams making everyone forget LeVeon Bell is out with a suspension. Antonio Brown has been his stellar self, with tight end Jesse James and wide receiver Sammy Coates stepping up amongst others. They can go toe-to-toe with anyone, and will do so this week on the road.

Wentz has looked great in two weeks, but I have to point something out. Those two games have come against the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Browns. Neither team is exactly excellent, with both teams possessing poor defensive units. So this will be Wentz’s first true test in my eyes. And while I do not think he will fall on his face, I do expect those rookie flaws to show through a bit more this week. That will turn out to be the difference in this one.

Wentz is said to be a younger version of Big Ben. But he is not there yet. So when all is said and done, the two will trade blows early on, but Big Ben’s experience will help him, and the Steelers pull away by more than the three and a half they are laying in this one.
