Playoffs Round 1 Series Recap: Utah Jazz Eliminate the LA Clippers

Los Angeles Clippers Knocked Out of Playoffs for 6th Straight Season

The Utah Jazz, led by Gordon Hayward held a sizable lead throughout the entire game over the Los Angeles Clippers, beating them 104-91. Hayward dropped 26 points, winning the series 4-3.

After the series win, Hayward said, “We’ve been through some pretty hard downs. It definitely feels really good to go from 25 wins to where we were this year making the playoffs, winning a series.”

This was the first postseason appearance for the Jazz since 2010.

Derrick Favors and George Hill also 17 points each in what looked like the easiest game for the Jazz out of the whole series.

After this win, the Jazz now have to face off against the Golden State Warriors, who swept the Portland Trail Blazers 4-0 earlier this postseason.

For the Clippers, DeAndre Jordan netted 24 points and 17 rebounds while Jamal Crawford added 20 points. Chris Paul only had 13 points, and then they were sent packing yet again as they failed to reach the second round.

”It came down to today to keep us afloat, keep us alive,” Paul said. ”We’re done.”

After this loss for the Clippers, this makes us question the future of their organization. Is it time to call it quits and split their big 3 along with possibly letting go of Head Coach Doc Rivers? Or will they stick together for another season?
