I think trading away Timmy Jernigan was the right thing to do. Getting a higher 3rd round draft pick after trading away a compensatory pick will help in the long run. This is a deep draft class so the value will be in the mid-rounds. Or a move will be made to trade up even further to select a top player in the draft. With this 3 round mock draft, the Ravens get a productive pass rusher and wide receiver. They also select a versatile offensive lineman and a well-rounded cornerback. In my opinion, the solution for the defensive line is on the roster. However, the young players that have not seen the field due to injury. Either way, Jernigan’s production can be easily replaced in 2017. Similarly, his lack of production can be seen as a big reason why the Ravens were non-committal to him for the future.
