The first weekend of the 2014-15 NBA Season saw the Miami Heat playing their first back-to-back games.

The first being against the Philadelphia 76ers on the road on Saturday and the second back at American Airlines Arena against the Toronto Raptors. Miami was victorious in both games and finished the weekend as the last undefeated team in the Eastern Conference.

Here are some quick shots from the weekend:

The Good: Chris Bosh continued his strong play from Opening Night with 30 points and eight rebounds against the Sixers on Saturday. He followed it up tonight with 21 points and 11 rebounds against the Raptors, his second double-double of the season.  Dwyane Wade did something he rarely did last season, play the second night of a back-to-back and had a good bounce back game tonight with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Luol Deng continued to be aggressive as he tries to show that he can go back to his playing form with the Chicago Bulls. Josh McRoberts made his Heat debut this weekend playing limited minutes as he comes back from a toe injury.

The Bad: The injury bug still plagues Miami. As McRoberts came back Chris Andersen suffered a rib injury against the Sixers that kept him out of tonight’s game. Udonis Haslem was also out of tonight’s game with a quad injury making the Heat frontcourt thin for the time being.

There was sloppy play both games at different times against the Sixers, it was in the first half with lapses on defense and needless fouls. Against the Raptors, it was late in the game which erased most of a Miami double-digit lead. The Heat also began missing key free throws which kept Toronto in the game.

Highlight of The Weekend: Wade continued to cement his place as arguably the greatest blocking shooting guard in NBA history tonight as he rejected Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas twice leaving him only two swats away from 700.

It also has Wade one block behind long-time nemesis, Paul Pierce.
