One week after losing Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and head coach Doc Rivers, the Boston Celtics finally make a move in their own.

According to media reports, the Celtics have hired former Butler Bulldogs head coach Brad Stevens.  Stevens, 36, who helped turn Butler into a mid-major powerhouse and perennial Cinderella underdog, would sign a multi-year deal to coach the Celtics, terms are currently unknown.

Under Stevens, Butler would go to the NCAA Final Four national championship game twice, losing to both Connecticut and Duke.

At Butler, Stevens would compile a record of 166-49, and help develop players such as Gordon Heyward and Shelvin Mack into top NBA draft picks
