One of the more interesting match-ups in week 12 of the NFL season will be taking place down in Houston, Texas. The San Diego Chargers will be leaving California this week, and they will get to take on DeAndre Hopkins and the Houston Texans. The Chargers are coming off a home loss two weeks ago against the Miami Dolphins, and then had week 11 off. The Texans went down to Mexico on Monday night last week where they lost in controversial fashion to the Oakland Raiders.

As a pick em game, this one is extremely interesting. The Chargers are a team I typically do not like on the road. But they do have talent, with Philip Rivers leading the charge. I also find it interesting that a 4-6 team on the road is not the underdog against a 6-4 team at home. That tells me Vegas may know something, as the Texans should be at least three point favorites against a team with a worse record at home. This has me intrigued and leaning towards picking the Chargers.

But on the other side of the coin, the Texans tend to play better at home. I cannot stand watching their offense however, as Brock Osweiler is simply a terrible starting quarterback. The guy throws nearly as many interceptions as he does touchdowns, and I still do not know how the team is 6-4 and on top of the AFC South division. They simply are not as good as their record says they are. But they do have a solid defense at least.

I have to go with my gut here. Since I do not like the Texans because of Osweiler, and I feel something is fishy about the fact that they are not favored, I think the Chargers will show up ready to play. I could be totally wrong, and the home Texans could come out and play well, but I am willing to roll the dice.
