The San Francisco 49ers and Kyle Shanahan are currently depicting the definition of rebuilding, and after having to experience the struggle last year, it only makes sense. Last year the Niners had one of the worst teams in the NFL, ranking almost dead last in total offense (ranked 31st), which made the rebuild easier to be done, than said. The Niners cut Colin Kaepernick, between off the field issues, and “on the field performance”, the Niners added veteran Brian Hoyer to take his place. With the Niners rebuilding so much of their team and starting it with the vocal leader of the offense, the offense is going to have a somewhat rough year again this year.

Yet, the spotlight will be able to shine brightly on one player in particular on the offense, and Carlos Hyde will not shy away from that spotlight either. After gaining almost 1,000 yards of rushing in only 13 games, he is looking to be the key to success for the offense. Regardless of who is starting at quarterback, the offensive gameplan will be to hand the ball off to Carlos Hyde. While the beginning of the NFL Draft, the Niners focused on improving their defense, the front office added two more running backs(Kapri Bibbs and Joe Williams), wide receiver (Trent Taylor), tight end (George Kittle), and quarterback (C.J. Beathard), all during the NFL Draft. John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan are looking to rebuild this team, although it is not in a rush, he is doing it to ensure that stable young players become matured and successful veterans.

While the season is looking bleak for The San Francisco 49ers, the unforeseen future will look bright. While the offense has made some improvements, it is unfortunately not enough to launch them into any type of contention for playoffs. This offense, unfortunately, will stay towards the bottom of the rankings in offense terms. Eventually, in a couple of years, once Kyle Shanahan completely develops his offense, the Niners will be a force to reckon with.
