According to the American Psychiatric Association, premature ejaculation is defined as the persistent and or recurrent ejaculation occurring with minimal or no sexual stimulation.  This may occur either before, during or immediately after penetration.

This is a challenge that a lot of men face and tend to suffer silently with, seeing that it is seen as an embarrassing condition to acknowledge to a lover, partner or friend. The time frames that men last upon vaginal entry ranges for one to be said to have premature ejaculation.  In some men with severe premature ejaculation, as soon as one makes vaginal contact, they ejaculate.

It is, however, safe to assume that men who last 40 seconds or less could be termed as suffering from premature ejaculation.

As you feel you are about to climax, take time off and breathe deeply so as to provide the oxygen needed in the blood.

Kegel exercise: This is an exercise that has been perfected over the years. The point of this exercise is to help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and consequently build up better erections which are harder and last longer.
