We finally know where the first RMC Raptor coaster will go. Six Flags Fiesta Texas will be introducing, Wonder Woman Golden Lasso, to the public next spring.

RMC is known to produce some groundbreaking attractions. The Raptor track is just the latest innovation from the manufacturer. As construction starts on the newest Six Flags coaster, there are still some questions about Wonder Woman that remain.

The most obvious concern for many is the 8 seat trains. While it’s nice to have a smaller train, and a seat to yourself, the limited number of seats on the train will mean longer wait times. It has been said the coaster will run 3 trains, but even still that’s going to be a very slow-moving queue line.

Since this is a new concept, nobody has ever had a chance to ride this type of coaster. It’s going to be interesting to hear the reports coming out of Six Flags Fiesta Texas as to how the coaster runs. For instance, will it be smooth?

Larry Chickola, Six Flags VP, and chief corporate engineer told USA Today how he feels the coaster will perform.

“I expect it to be crazy smooth, and crazy fun. There will be extremely quick twists and turns – quicker and smoother than regular coasters.”

Many coaster fanatics have been anticipating the release of the RMC Raptor. We know this won’t be the first type of this coaster to be announced. Cedar Fair has just dipped their toes into the RMC pool, so you know they will look into something like this as well. But considering Wonder Woman Golden Lasso has been tabbed as a 2018 release coaster, there might not be another opening before it’s debut.

Wonder Woman Golden Lasso won’t be the fastest coaster ( 52 mph ), but the signature RMC elements will be there. This includes the infamous 180-degree stall. We’ll see what other surprises the coaster has in store when it opens at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in 2018.

It will be interesting to see how this coaster is received, especially for RMC, who have done strictly wooden coasters remodel up until this point. As mentioned before, this is an entirely new concept. No doubt about it, RMC will hit a home run with the first single rail coaster in the world. The big question will be how ride operations will be on Wonder Woman. If that can be addressed, I’m sure this will be a fan favorite for years to come.
