The Titans made a huge overhaul, considering they were the 11th ranked offense in terms of yards. Their overhaul though, was on a section of the offense they struggled the most on, passing the ball. The Tennessee Titans were the 25th ranked offense when it came to passing the ball. Which, for a team that was 9-7 and one game away from making the playoffs, is a huge accomplishment. However, the front office released that Marcus Mariota was going to need a lot of help to ensure growth in that category. This will also be able to help the run game, allowing your running backs, DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry, some rest and open holes later in the game.

Since the offensive rushing ranking for Tennessee was in the Top 5 of the league, the team focused on rebuilding the wide receiving corps. Instead of rushing after older, worn out veteran receivers, who were looking for big money contracts, the Titans used their draft picks. They made smart decisions. Especially by drafting a solid No. 1 receiver in Corey Davis, and then two rounds later drafting Taywan Taylor, who the Titans are expecting to be the No. 2.

While off-season camps have started, the team realized that they needed a veteran presence on the field. One who would still be able to exceed expectations when on the field. The New York Jets answered the Titans prayer by releasing Eric Decker to free agency. Once released the Titans made a call and they were his only stop. After signing a deal, that ultimately could make their season, the teams passing offense is now determined to be one of the top ten offenses in the league right now.

The Tennessee Titans have a lot of upside, with a young quarterback, two great running backs, and now a trio of young, talented wide receivers. They are looking to take over the AFC South. The Titans are looking to make the playoffs for the first time since 2008 and will need the help of Marcus Mariota and this offense to do so. I predict that Mariota will throw for over 4,000 yards and 30 Touchdowns, helping the Titans seal the AFC South division.
