.) Denver Broncos (5-1, 2): In crushing the San Francisco 49ers, Peyton Manning entered the record books, and the Broncos showed that they are on a mission. A win over the always-tough Chargers validates their No.1 ranking.

.) Dallas Cowboys (6-1, 3): At 6-1, with the best record and a legit MVP in DeMarco Murray, these aren’t your Daddy’s modern-day Cowboys. Despite a quality win over a slumping Seahawks squad and a mediocre Giants team, who have they really beaten?

.) Green Bay Packers (5-2, 4): A-Rod continues to R-E-L-A-X, much to the dismay of the Carolina Panthers saw on Sunday.

.) Indianapolis Colts (5-2, 5): Don’t look now, but the Colts are kinda serious.

.) Philadelphia Eagles (5-1, 7): Special teams and Nick Foles can only carry this team so far.

.) Baltimore Ravens (5-2, 8): Thanks to the Bengals and Browns losing, the Ravens are in the AFC North drivers seat.

.) Arizona Cardinals (5-1, 9): Quietly, the best team in the NFL that no one is talking about, the Cardinals are on top of the toughest division in the NFL.

.) San Diego Chargers (5-2, 1): Despite a shocking loss to the Chiefs at home, Philip Rivers and company will give Peyton all he can handle in Mile High.

.) New England Patriots (5-2, 10): Tom Brady and the Patriots squeak by the pesky Jets at home. A win is a win, must be nice to have the refs in your back pocket, huh?

.) Detroit Lions (5-2, 13): Despite having the best defense in the NFL, a late touchdown proved to be the difference in a win over the Saints.

.) San Francisco 49ers (4-3, 6): A 25-point blowout at the hands of Peyton Manning isn’t the end of the world. SF is still a quality NFC contender.

.) Seattle Seahawks (3-3, 11): What is wrong with the defending champs? Trade Harvin, loss to the bottom-feeding Rams and now reports emerging of fights in the locker room? Sleepless in Seattle?

.) Cincinnati Bengals (3-2-1, 12): Another under-whelming loss to a Super Bowl contender, first to the Patriots and now the Colts after tying the Panthers.

.) Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3, 21): A resounding bounce-back effort after getting blown out in Cleveland. 24 points in four minutes to end the first half. Impressive.

.) Kansas City Chiefs (3-3, 23): Scoring the biggest upset in the NFL this weekend, the Chiefs appear to be heading back in the right direction.

.) Buffalo Bills (4-3, 19): Another win under new signal-caller Kyle Orton in two starts could signal the end of the brief EJ Manuel era in Buffalo.

.) Miami Dolphins (3-3, 24): A quality road win over the shaky Jay Cutler-led Bears, gives Miami a boost here.

.) Cleveland Browns (3-3, 14): Brian Hoyer or Johnny Manziel? Cleveland needs to make up its mind and just win more on a consistent basis first.

.) Chicago Bears (3-4, 17): Another shaky performance from Jay Cutler and the Bears, and they may have to demo that locker room of theirs.

.) New York Giants (3-4, 18): Big Blue ran into the DeMarco Murray buzzsaw in Big D.

.) Carolina Panthers (3-3-1, 16): Luke Kuechly getting ejected in a blowout loss to the Packers is the least of Carolina’s worries.

.) Houston Texans (3-3, 15): Giving up 24 points to end a half on the road is one thing, your coach having a post-game  meltdown is another.

.) St. Louis Rams (2-4, 27): Catching the slumping Seahawks at the right time, St. Louis has a chance to make life miserable for the res of the NFC West if they play their cards right.

.) New Orleans Saints (2-4, 20): What has happened to the once-unstoppable Sean Payton-Drew Brees combo?

.) Atlanta Falcons (2-5, 23): Is that hot seat for Mike Smith getting hotter down in the ATL? Yes.

.)  Washington Redskins (2-5, 28): Nice win for the ‘Skins over the Titans. Bring on Colt McCoy!

.)  Minnesota Vikings (2-5, 25): Tough loss to the resurgent Bills. Teddy Bridgewater will only learn from this.

.) Jacksonville Jaguars (1-6, 32): A much-needed win over the one-time division rival Cleveland browns, Jacksonville still has Cleveland’s number.

.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-5, 26): Hopefully a week off, will help Tampa get back on track at home against a reeling Vikings team.

.) Tennessee Titans (2-5, 29): A loss to the sad-sack ‘Skins says it all.

.) New York Jets (1-6, 30): What else can be said about the tough-luck Jets loss to the Patriots. Not even the newly-acquired Percy Harvin can save them.

.) Oakland Raiders (0-6, 31): Welcome back to the cellar, Silver and Black! We’ve missed you!
