The Los Angeles Rams are 3-1 and the rest of the NFL wants to know how. The Rams have beaten the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals after their season-opening defeat at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers.

It’s funny that a few weeks ago the fans were calling for the firing of HC, Jeff Fisher, but now, he may be in the hunt for COY. But it’s still the mystery of how they have accomplished this. The Rams have scored 63 points in four games but yet have managed to beat two of the best NFC teams in the league. While every topic has surrounded the QB position, the Rams have ignored the talk and somehow managed to turn their horrid situation around into a possible playoff berth.

QB, Case Keenum has seen better days but his time as the starter is locked in as long as the team continues to win games. Keenum has been awful, to be honest as he has passed for only 825 yards, four touchdowns, three interceptions and a completion percentage of 55%. But yet, here they stand at 3-1, atop of their division and look to have a ton of confidence heading into their Week 5 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

How does a team start the season 3-1 with their best player, Todd Gurley looking more Derek Henry than last season’s ROY? Gurley has rushed 82 times for 216 yards for a measly 2.6 yards per carry, but yet they are 3-1. Can you name a starting Rams WR without looking up old episodes of Hard Knocks? Julio Jones, Sunday against the Panthers had more receiving yards in one game than the top Rams receiver does for the entire season, but yet, they are 3-1.

The Rams defense has been key, the real reason they are where they are now. While they may not challenge the Patriots or the Eagles for best defense they have managed to hold their opponents to only 19 points per game. Aaron Donald and Co have managed to keep the games close and for a team  whose season may rely on the leg of kicker, Greg Zuerlein, that’s all you can ask for.

Their winning is a mystery to fans because we have passed the days where defense means nothing and the offense sets the tone. The NFL is backwards but the Rams are proving that theory wrong in 2016. I’m not saying they should reserve a few blocks for a Super Bowl parade but they should have earned the respect of every NFL team in the league. The Rams have played the game their way and while we are sitting back asking how they are 3-1, you should be wondering how they are not 4-0.
