With summer winding down and fall right around the corner, the opportunities to go the gym are dwindling down.

While some may feel that working out in the fall is not such a good idea, with the temperatures set to drop, the desire to stay warm and active is likely to increase.

With the last few days of summer still there, though, now is the time to hit that gym, stretch in the heat or simply lay poolside and chill.

If one needs any last bit of motivation, look no further than fitness model Victoria Tignor.

Tignor, a 23-year-old native of Abingdon, Virginia is one of the hottest up and coming fitness models and personal fitness trainers today as she has posed for some brands such as Krystal Jeans and Zero to 60 Motor Speedway. Blessed with a toned and tanned physique with curves and a shape to die for, the Alamogordo, New Mexico-based Tignor is easy on the eyes.

R.C. What brands have you modeled for? Which one do you enjoy modeling for the most?

V.T. “I actually just did a runway show, specifically showcasing Krystal Jeans, and loved them because they were stretchy enough for my athletic legs to fit into them comfortably and still look great.”

R.C. Where has been your favorite place to shoot?

V.T. “Dungevan Keep in Austin, Texas. Such a beautiful place! If you’re ever in the area, call to see if you can check out the place.”

R.C. What is the most exciting aspect of fitness modeling?

V.T. “The traveling to different places, meeting new people that appreciate what I do, and the post photo shoot food!”

R.C. With fall approaching, what are some of the fitness and workout trends that you have noticed?

V.T. “I have noticed that popularity is rising in some fitness classes, specifically fitness pole classes. I actually would like to try one sometime!”

R.C. What can men and women do to stay in shape when the temperatures drop?

V.T. “First off, do not stop working out just because it’s getting colder and you don’t feel like getting out in the cold! Switch up your workouts when it comes working out indoors by trying a new fitness class or adding something new to your workout like plyo in between weight training sets.”

R.C. Within the industry, who is your inspiration?

V.T. “Michelle Lewin and Dana Linn Bailey! Both women have different physiques, but both have their own work ethics in the fitness industry that I look up to. Plus, they’re both just beautiful both inside and out!”

R.C. What first inspired you to go into fitness modeling and training?

V.T. “I actually had started out training for powerlifting then made a switch to bodybuilding for figure competitions and now I’ve found my passion in fitness modeling. After a few years of seeing what fitness models do to stay in shape and inspire and motivate people all over the world, I decided that this was what I wanted to pursue.

I love the feeling of seeing messages from various people around the world telling me that they decided to make a healthy change because of what I have been doing.”

R.C. What is your daily regiment and training routine?

V.T. “My training changes every so often and never stays the same so I can keep progressing, but typically I’ll do fasted cardio in the morning, go to college, come back for weight training and maybe a little more cardio depending on whether I’m prepping for a shoot or event, then I train clients, then come home!”

R.C. What is your secret to staying in shape?

V.T. “Staying as consistent as possible in everything I do from weight training, cardio sessions, eating as well as I can, giving myself time to myself, and so on. Consistency and patience are my main key to staying in shape.”

R.C. Outside of modeling, what are your hobbies?

V.T. “Obviously weightlifting, but I also enjoy star gazing and watching different documentaries ranging from weather to murder mysteries.”

R.C. Sports question: Who are your favorite teams and clubs?

V.T. “I honestly don’t keep up with teams!”

R.C. What are your favorite cities to travel to?

V.T. “So far, Tokyo, Japan has been my favorite, but hopefully, I’ll get to see more soon.”

R.C. What advice would you give to women aspiring to get into fitness modeling?

V.T. “Fitness modeling is not your typical fashion modeling. Along with keeping your hair, nails, skin, etc. in condition, you have to 24/7 keep your body in shape and ready for a photo shoot since you are modeling the body.

If you’re really wanting to get into fitness modeling, then take time to get your body to that level then pursue it, don’t try to continue it straight away by doing crash diets and other unhealthy things to get yourself “in shape” for fitness modeling. As the saying goes, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”
