WWE: Paige refutes retirement rumors

A few weeks ago I wrote a piece about how it was all then certain that Paige had quit the WWE.

I was wrong as now it is being reported that she will be returning to WWE and will be on RAW next week. Her suspension is up as of September 17 which is Saturday.

According to PWinsider, Paige and WWE had come up with some agreement, and she will be returning to WWE programming as of next week. There were many people, including myself, that after her boyfriend Alberto Del Rio was suspended and was ultimately released from the company two weeks ago, figured Paige was going to follow suit and also asked to be released. Paige has yet to make a presence on TV since the WWE Draft happened and she was drafted to RAW. She even tweeted out that she is returning to her official Twitter account:

In that piece, I talked about how if she was going to leave that it was going to leave a major void in the woman’s division on Raw. I am curious to see if she will get right into a feud or will WWE make her loss to Nia Jax for several weeks. My hope is that by this happening is that WWE uses her the right way. I am aware that you have talented women on that roster in Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Paige, but once you get passed them, there is a major dip in talent with Dana Brooke, Nia Jax, and Alicia Fox.

I also don’t figure she will put back into the title picture that fast because WWE has something brewing with Charlotte, Bayley, and Sasha Banks. But there is no reason why you can’t put her in there and maybe down the road have a fatal four. It is just an idea and the only reason I am saying that is Paige is talented enough as a wrestler that she deserves to be in the title picture at some point. Paige is a two-time Divas Champion ( the name of the belt for the woman’s division before they renamed it at Wrestlemania 32).
