We are eleven days from Summerslam happening. We have most of the card announced with several matches not yet being announced.

It is now being reported that we will probably be getting two matches on the Kickoff show. Prior to Scott Dawson’s injury, the plans were Hardy Boyz vs. the Revival. Now it seems that the plans have shifted. According to the rumor mills, the plan is expecting to be Jeff and Matt Hardy have a match against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. This doesn’t shock me at all. It seems that since they dropped the titles to Sheamus and Cesaro, the Hardy Boyz have been in a feud with the Club and the Revival. At one point, the feeling was that we were getting a triple threat match between the three teams.

The other match that is being rumored for the kickoff show will be the Smackdown Tag title match between the Usos and the New Day. I personally am not a fan of this. Personally, I would have the Big Cass/Big Show match on the kickoff show. I don’t feel that a title match should be on the kickoff show. While I don’t agree with having the tag title match on the kickoff show, I could see why the WWE would consider putting them as the second one.

Reports have been going around that there will be 13 matches on the card. You would have to figure that half of them will be Smackdown matches. As I rack my brain, I can’t think of a Smackdown match to be on the pre show other than the tag match. What I am curious to see is if there will be a third match. As we saw at last year’s Summerslam, there were three matches on the kickoff show. Anything could happen.
