Some members of the WWE universe may be getting one of their dreams answered in the next few months.

No, John Cena is not retiring yet. However, we may be seeing a brief reunion of the Shield for one of the next PPV’s where both brands will be a part of. Now that Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins are all good guys (or faces in wrestling lingo), WWE officials have been talking backstage about having the three of reuniting for either Survivor Series or the Royal Rumble.

Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins were called up to the WWE main roster in 2012 and made their debut at Survivor Series. After they debuted, they would go on to become one of the most impacting factions in WWE history. During the Shield’s run, Dean would go on to win the US Title and Roman and Seth would have a run with the tag titles.

On the June 2, 2014, episode of Raw, Seth Rollins would turn on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns to join the Authority and thus would put an end to a great run. There were many people within the wrestling community who thought that WWE broke them up too early and didn’t allow them to get to the top. Since they broke up, all three men have held the WWE title and have been featured in the main event scene.

Seth Rollins was the first one to hold the WWE title in the post-Shield run after he cashed in on Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 31. Roman would then end up winning several times after Seth Rollins got injured and was forced to vacate the title. Dean Ambrose ended up winning the title at Money in the Bank this past June as he cashed in on Seth Rollins who beat Roman Reigns.

It will be interesting to see how WWE will pull this off, if in fact they decide to go this direction as Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are on Raw and Dean Ambrose is on Smackdown Live.
