The Miz

Finally, The Miz has come back to SmackDown Live! WWE is changing its scenery once again, with wrestlers moving from one brand to another. With the announcement The Miz, the former Intercontinental Champion, going back to Tuesday nights, it means he and Daniel Bryan may finally settle the score between the two of them.

It’s a match WWE could not have booked had it not been for Bryan’s return to action before WrestleMania 34. Now, with the hatred between both superstars about to boil over again, fans can see the feud they have been clamoring for in a ring, not on a television set.

The Miz’s move was only one of several that caught fans’ attention on Monday night. The announcement of Jinder Mahal and his United States Title sliding over to Monday night programming is a strong move by the company to give Modern Day Maharajah a spot on WWE’s top program. The fact he lost his title to Jeff Hardy creates a new feud and helps establish Hardy as a potential main event performer once again.

WWE pushed all the right buttons with the first half of the Superstar Shakeup. Dolph Ziggler and Drew Galloway appear to be a “thing” now, which makes Ziggler a vital part of programming and it gives McIntyre a new platform to leap from. His first time on the main roster was a dud – see 3MB.

Breezango shocked the world and upset Cesaro and Sheamus. I hope this is a victory that means something. Titus Worldwide scored a win over the Raw tag team champions earlier this year, but it did not result in anything special. I am curious how WWE now books the tag team division with the addition of Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt – who will take on The Bar at the Greatest Battle Royal at the end of the month.

Zack Ryder, Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley and Chad Gable all moved to Raw. This means Shelton Benjamin is a man without a tag team partner. Will he now be considered a serious threat for the mid card? With Seth Rollins almost guaranteed to move to SmackDown Live with the Intercontinental Title, could this feud be worth a look?

Bobby Roode’s jump to the red team makes sense, but the former United States Champion must turn heel to realize his greatness. The Natalya move and her “reunion” with Ronda Rousey is as easy to figure out as any decision made last night. Will the veteran help Rousey get over as a serious threat to the Raw Women’s Title?

The Riott Squad attacking Bayley and Sasha Banks could spell the end for Absolution on Monday nights and an eventual reunion with Paige on the blue brand.

These are just a few of the moves WWE made Monday night. Tuesday evening should be just as compelling and exciting.
