Unfortunately the Eastern Conference Finals is now over, the Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat became one of the better match-ups during the 2013 NBA Playoffs. With the exception of last night’s game seven.

The game was close at the end of the first quarter even with the Pacers committing nine turnovers. David West and Paul George combined for 11 of Indiana’s 21 points. For Miami LeBron James and Dwyane Wade each scored six.

With the miscues piling up, it was only a matter of time before the Heat took advantage and a two point deficit turned into a 15 point lead by halftime and James led the way with 12 points in the second and the Pacers as a team scored a total of 16 points. There was no run in the third to bring the lead down to double digits and at one point in the fourth trailed by 28.

Even if the ball hadn’t been turned over as often during the first half it would have been difficult to pull out a win. James got help from Wade who ended up with 21 points which tied his 2013 playoff high and he also grabbed nine rebounds, Chris Bosh who hadn’t rebounded well pulled down eight boards his highest total since he pulled down 19 in game three against the Chicago Bulls and Ray Allen chipped in 10 points off the bench.

For the Pacers, Roy Hibbert led the way with 18 points and eight rebounds though he did also pick up five fouls, West had 14 points and six rebounds and George Hill added 13 points.

Wade made the play of the night in the first quarter he anticipated a pass from Hibbert to Lance Stephenson, easily intercepted the pass, the result a dunk for Wade and Stephenson failing to make up for Hibbert’s turnover.

Miami moves on to face the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals.
