When David Lee got lost for the remainder of the playoffs that was a huge blow to the Golden State Warriors. There weren’t many who believed that this team could win a game let alone win the series. Yet, that is exactly what has happened with a dominating victory of the Denver Nuggets in game four.

Andrew Bogut made his presence known after receiving several beautiful passes from Stephen Curry and then posterizing JeVale McGee who had got him earlier in the series. He led the scoring at the end of one with eight points and Carl Landry added six and more importantly the defense played solidly holding the Nuggets to 21 points.

Also, Draymond Green continued his impressive play by hitting a three, picking up a steal on what looked like an easy basket and then to open the second quarter a great move to get around the defense of Andre Igu0dala. With the strong defense, the tremendous play of Bogut and the passing of Curry the Warriors weathered a 6-0 run by the Nuggets to get within one.

What the most surprising thing at halftime was Curry. He only had one field goal made and he did hit all four free throws attempted, so he did score seven points, dished out five assists and came up with three steals.

One issue that the team faced throughout the entire season was holding double-digit leads at the break, so it was interesting to see how Golden State played with the cushion.

To open the scoring of the second half, Klay Thompson buried a three-pointer. Yet, an offensive foul and another turnover got the Nuggets within eight after Ty Lawson got rolling and the turnovers continued to come and Denver got within four, yet weren’t able to get any closer as Curry caught fire and the lead went to the largest of the game 19.

In the fourth Curry got poked in the eye and went to the bench with plenty of time on the clock, yet could only get within 13 and got up to 23 before the final buzzer.

Leading the way for the Warriors, Curry who had 31 points, seven assists and four steals, Jarrett Jack had 21 points, nine assists, five rebounds and Landry chipped in 17. Lawson led the way for the Nuggets with 26 points and six assists, Iguodala had 19 points and eight rebounds and Corey Brewer chipped in 14.
