The 2013 NFL Draft first round is finished. There were a number of trades and interesting selections. s now on the 30th pick
First Pick: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan

Second Pick: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
By drafting one of the best tackles in the draft the Jacksonville Jaguars made it clear the franchise still wants to see what Blaine Gabbert can do with better protection.
Third Pick: Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon
Oakland Raiders had this pick and then made a trade with the Miami Dolphins who took the best OLB in the draft.
In return the Raiders got the 12th overall pick and a second round pick no.42 overall.
Fourth Pick: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Last season the Philadelphia Eagles gave up 48 sacks and now either Michael Vick or Nick Foles will get better protection.
Fifth Pick: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Barry Sanders announced the Detroit Lions pick and took a chance on a hit or miss prospect in Ansah. He’s a definite need as Cliff Avril left via free agency and Kyle Vanden Bosch got released.
Sixth Pick: Barkevious Mingo, DE, LSU
For the Cleveland Browns the team made a surprising pick as many believed it was cornerback Dee Milliner.
Seventh Pick: Jonathan Cooper, G, North Carolina
Cooper’s a great choice here for the Cardinals as the offensive line was nonexistent in 2012.
Eighth Pick:
The St. Louis Rams gave up the 16th overall pick, 2nd-round 46th overall, 3rd-round 78th and 7th round 222nd to the Buffalo Bills and the Rams also got the 3rd round 71st pick. Selected was Tavon Austin.
Ninth Pick: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
With Darrelle Revis traded, the New York Jets got his replacement with Milliner.
10th Pick: Chance Warmack, G, Alabama
Tennessee Titans needed to grab a guard to help open up holes for Chris Johnson and got their man with the selection of Warmack.
11th Pick: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
This is a great move for the San Diego Chargers who need to protect Philip Rivers.
12th Pick: D.J. Hayden, CB, Houston
With the Raiders taking Hayden it became the biggest surprise of the first round.
13th Pick: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Jets make a solid move by drafting Richardson who helps out on the pass rush.
14th Pick: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
A definitive need got addressed by the Carolina Panthers with this move.
15th Pick: Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas
With Roman Harper losing a step the New Orleans Saints draft the best safety in the draft in Vaccaro.
16th Pick: E.J. Manuel, QB, Florida State
Manuel becomes the first quarterback taken in the draft by the Bills.
17th Pick: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
A perfect fit for Jones and will replace the departed James Harrison.
18th Pick: Eric Reid, S, LSU
Dallas Cowboys traded their pick to the San Francisco 49ers. Received the 31st overall pick and the 74th pick. Reid will likely replace the departed Dashon Goldson.
19th Pick: Justin Pugh, OT, Syracuse
With the offensive line getting older for the New York Giants, Pugh is a solid pick.
20th Pick: Kyle Long, OT, Oregon
Brian Urlacher is gone and the Chicago Bears needed a replacement, yet chose to get someone to protect Jay Cutler.
21st Pick: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
Cincinnati Bengals went the route of the New England Patriots by selecting Eifert.
22nd Pick: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
Rams trade pick to the Atlanta Falcons taking a cornerback and add to a strong secondary. To trade up gave up their 92nd and 198th pick.
23rd Pick: Sharif Floyd, DT, Florida
The Minnesota Vikings took advantage of Floyd falling and he will learn from Kevin Williams.
24th Pick: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Needing a replacement for Dwight Freeney the Indianapolis Colts got their man in Werner.
25th Pick: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
After letting go of Antoine Winfield the Vikings drafted one of the better cornerbacks.
26th Pick: Datone Jones, DE, UCLA
After the Green Bay Packers got carved up by the 49ers in the playoffs, the decision to draft Jones wasn’t difficult.
27th Pick: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
Shrewd move by the Houston Texans and pick one one of the better wide receivers.
28th Pick: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
An interesting choice for the Denver Broncos due to who the team has, yet Williams will get the chance to play.
29th Pick: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
The New England Patriots traded their first round pick to the Vikings who gave up the 53rd, 83rd, 102nd and 229th pick. Patterson got taken and it gives Christian Ponder another offensive weapon.
30th Pick: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
Rams add to a strong defense with the pick of Ogletree.
31st Pick: Travis Frederick, C, Wisconsin
Cowboys made the most shocking selection with Frederick.
32nd Pick: Matt Elam, S, Florida
With the departures of both starting safeties the Ravens make a great move with Elam.
